carbon dioxide ,water and evolves heat because it is an exothermic reaction.

This reaction is also a combustion reaction because ethanol is a hydrocarbon and when hydrocarbon reacts in the sufficient supply of air ,gives heat ,light and carbon dioxide.

The reaction is

ch3ch2oh + o2 -  -  > co2 + h2o + heat
