Write the reactions of Williamson synthesis of 2-ethoxy-3-methylpentane starting from ethanol and 3-methylpentan-2-ol.

williamson's synthesis :- when haloalkanes are heated with sodium or potassium they give ether. this rxn is called williamson's synthesis.

 EX:- R - X + R¹ -  :O: -  Na⁺  ---->  R - O - R¹ + NaX
