Money is the largest deciding factor between media products and their audiences. Without money, media products would cease to exist as the whole point of media is to gain a profit by making money off their audience.

Media needs a great deal of money to do its work. It needa money for: Buying technology such as cameras lights recorders etc.

Mass media is related to money in two ways :-

1.) The mass media earns money by advertising different things like chocolates, clothes, mobile phones etc. You must have noticed that while watching your favourite channel there were several advertisement that are repeated again and again, these advertisements were shown to you because after watching it you will probably purchase it. And when you buy it, company gives some amount to Media for showing there product's ad.

2.) The reporters at various news channel offices, reads news, discuss on that, etc. work does. But for this they need money as they require camera, lights, etc..

That's why Mass media requires money.
