write the relation between calorie and joule

subermani7: One small calorie is approximately 4.2joules (so one large calorie is about 4.2 kilojoules). The factor used toconvert calories to joules at a given temperature is numerically equivalentto the specific heat capacity of water expressed in joules per kelvin per gram (or per kilogram, for kilocalories).

ANSWER

1 cal = 4.186 J

1 cal = 4.2 J approx.

Hence :

1 J = 1 / 4.2 cal

==> 1 J = 0.24 cal

Hope it helps :-)
