small intestine- the small intestine helps in the absorbtion of nutrients from the food. The small intestine has long structure inside called the villi that increase the surface area inside for better digestion. In the small intestine the digestion is complete.
large intestine- the large intestine absorbs the water from the digested food sent by the small intestine. it absorbs the water as our body needs water. after absorbing the water the large intestine sends the undigested leftovers to the rectum from where it is removed by anus.
