• These are used in ornamental purposes. (like decoration).

• Their dominant phase is Sporophyte.

• Those which are having small leaves are microphyllous. For example - Seleginella.

• Those which are having big leaves are macrophyllous. For example - Fern.

• Adiantum is known as walking fern because when it gets nourishment, its leaves start propagating.
