Dairy farming is the scientific management of cattle which have mammary glands and can produce milk like cows,goats,camels etc.It is preferable for some farmers because they can get good profit from it and they not only get milk but also other by products like dung which can be used as a manure in fields or as a bio fuel.There are both Indigenous breeds and exotic breeds of cows.Usually breeds are chosen based on desirable characteristics like disease-resistant and having a high lactation period etc.
