Answer:

Explanation:

Deserts are dry barren lands that have rocky or sandy soil, they have little or no vegetation.

In desert water is lost due to evaporation as the transpiration rate is more than precipitation.

Most of the Desert plants are salt and drought tolerant. They store water in their stems, roots and leaves.

Desert plants also have long roots that go deep in the soil to sap water and control erosion. The leaves and stems lower the surface velocity and checks soil erosion.

The plant cover is generally sparse and diverse.  Saguaro, Golden barrel cactus, Ocotillo, Joshua tree Brittle bush, Desert ironwood are some of the plants found in deserts.

Hot and Dry Deserts vegetation is very rare. Plants are almost all ground-hugging shrubs and short woody trees. All of the leaves are replete (packed with nutrients). Some examples of these kinds of plant are Turpentine Bush, Prickly Pears, and Brittle Bush.
