To decrease unemployment, government has tried to ensure right to work for every able bodied, willing to do work of the apt age group person.
It was earlier a directive principle which has been tried to convert into a fundamental right.
Several schemes of which 1 is MGNREGA and many others have been launched to cope up with unemployment.
Under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (MGNREGA), govt. has assured 100 days employment to a person in a household who is of working age and willing to do the work.
This initiative has been taken with regard to 600 districts. Work can be of any kind from road building to construction work.
If govt. fails to provide employment, it will pay the unemployment allowances.
