Co-operatives are playing an important role along with the government. It ensures food security India. Their motives is to sell low price items to poor. Mother dairy in India is responsible for providing milk and vegetables. There are certain NGOs working intensively towards these Directions. These co-operatives ensure the security of food mainly in southern and western part of India. In Tamilnadu 94% of the fair priced shops are run by co-operatives. There are certain benefits too. Like:-

  2. Empowering women
  3. Providing affordable finance.
