There are four stages- Egg, Larva, Cocoon and Adult Moth

Explanation:

  • Silk worm is an insect, when it is in the form of a caterpillar it spins its own cocoon( to transform).
  • In which from the cocoon, silk is made to produce different types of cloth.
  • The female lays the eggs which will take 10 - 25 days to go to the next stage that is Larva that is build by an Caterpillar.
  • After 20 - 33 days, it will transfer from Larva to Pupa or Cocoon stage.
  • People will remove the cocoon which is made up of silk to produce cloth.
  • Within 10 - 14 days from the moth to come out of the cocoon and from 5 - 10 days it will become an Adult moth.
  • The Life cycle of silkworm continues.
