write the similarity and dissimilarity between Alkaloids and tannins

Both alkaloid and tannin are acidic in nature. Dissimilarity:

1) Alkaloid is crystalline and insoluble in water while tannin is non-crustallizable and soluble in water.

2) In plants alkaloid functions in protein synthesis while tannin functions in providing colour to plant parts.
