Write the skeletal equation for the following reactions: (i) Hydrogen sulphide reacts with sulphur dioxide to form sulphur and water. (ii) Methane on burning combine with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water.

Skeleton equations are those equations in which there are only chemical formulae of reactants and products but no specified state and no atom balance on either side of the equation.

The skeletal equations are -

1) H2S ( hydrogen Sulphide)  + SO2 ( Sulphur dioxide ) → S ( Sulphur) + H2O ( Water)  

2) CH4 ( Methane) + O2 ( Oxygen) → CO2 ( Carbon di oxide) + H2O ( Water)
