Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of each line 3x-2y = -16.

➱ The slope intercept form is defined as y = mx+b,

Where, m is the slope an b is y intercept.

So, we must solve for y.

Therefore,

Subtract 3x in both sides:-

3x - 3x - 2y =  - 16 - 3x

 - 2y =  - 16 - 3x

Now,

Divide –2 in both sides:-

 \frac{ - 2}{ - 2}y  =  \frac{ - 16 - 3x}{ - 2}

After simplify this equation we get,

y =  \frac{3}{2} x  + 8

Hence,

We will written in slope intercept.

Where,

  • m (the slope) =  \frac{3}{2}
  • And our y intercept = 8.
