Answer:

The given equations are

4x+2y=5 ...(i)

x−2y=0 ...(ii)

from (ii) equation, x=2y

∴(i) becomes, 8y+2y=5⇒10y=5⇒y= 21

∴x=2y=2×

21=1

Hence, x=1 and y=2

hope it helps you ❣️

Answer:

4x+2y = 5 ....... equation (1)

x-2y = 0 ...... equation (2)

By elimination method,

4x+2y = 5 .... (1)

x-2y = 0 ....(2)

therefore, x = 1

now, substituting x = 1 in equation (1)

4(1)+2y = 5

4+2y = 5

2y = 5-4

2y = 1

therefore,

y = 1/2

ANS : x = 1 and y = 1/2
