Newborn oxygen always denotes the term 0

Oxygen is a gas that the cells in our body require to work properly. We receive up to 100% oxygen but the air we breathe normally contains 21% oxygen. For a healthy baby, The normal oxygen saturation level for a full-term is 95-100%. During the first hour after delivery, normal newborn infants have lower oxygen saturation levels. So, the newborn oxygen always denotes the term 0. It might take an hour or more than that for the oxygen saturation levels to reach over 90%.  If a baby has oxygen saturation levels below 90%, it is considered to be too low and may require treatment immediately.
