YOUR ANSWER IS -

2Mg+02 -----> 2MgO.

EXPLANATION-

Given equation-

Mg+02 -------> MgO

Here reactants are,

Mg (Magnesium) and O2 (oxygen)

And product is,

Mgo (Magnesium oxide)

Now, atoms of Magnesium in reactant - 1

{since it is only Mg not Mg2 or Mg3}

And atoms of oxygen in reactant - 2

{Since it is O2}

But In magnesium oxide i.e. product

Atoms of oxygen is 1 while in reactant it is 2 so we have to multiply MgO by 2 = 2(Mgo) = 2MgO

Now you can see that in product atoms of Magnesium also become 2 as 2 is multiplied by MgO to balance Oxygen.

But in reactant atom of Magnesium is 1

so we have to multiply Mg in reactant with 2 = 2Mg.

Now you can see that atoms of Mg and

O2 are equal in both the sides so the equation is now balanced.

Therefore the balanced equation is-

2Mg + O2 ------> 2Mgo

NOTE THAT ELEMENTS IN LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE EQUATION IS CALLED REACTANTS AND THE ELEMENTS IN RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE EQUATION IS KNOWN AS PRODUCTS.
