- First, you must open your video file in Windows Movie Maker.
- Click on the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Type ‘Movie Maker’ in the search box.
- Click on the Movie Maker link.
- To open your file in Movie Maker, click on the ‘Click here to browse for videos and photos’ link
- A new box will open up. Use the navigation bar on the left to locate your file. Select it, and click the ‘open’ button.
- In the main screen, a preview of your movie will be displayed on the left, while a filmstrip of your video
- will appear to the right. Click on the filmstrip in the location of the video that you wish to add a caption
- to. A thin black line will appear where you click. Then, click the ‘caption’ button.
