  1. Click File > Open.
  2. Double-click This PC. (In Word 2013, double-click Computer).
  3. Browse to the Custom Office Templates folder that's under My Documents.
  4. Click your template, and click Open.
  5. Make the changes you want, then save and close the template.

steps are as follows:

1.Start OO Writer and create a new file.

2.Apply desired styles and formatting for the template.

3.Click on File → Templates → Save option.

4.Type desired filename, choose the category of the template and click on save button.
