Answer:

HELLO

Explanation:

There is a poor farmer named Lencho. He works hard and sows crop in his vast cultivable land. One day,he waits for the rain in the sowing season. After some time,he is filled with happiness! He sees drops of rain falling from above. The long waited rain had finally arrived. He even called the large drops as 10 pesos and 5 pesos are the smaller ones. The heavy rain then converts into a Hailstorm after a while.Instead of yielding the crops, the storm destroys them completely. Lencho is utterly disappointed. There is no food left for his family. He is worried that they will suffer.

Then one day,he gets an idea.He decides to write a letter to God directly without getting anyone else's favor. In the letter,he asks God for 100 pesos for covering his loss during the hailstorm. He then puts his letter into the postbox.

In the post office, the post employee sees the letter and is surprised. He shows this letter of Lencho to his colleagues and when the post master of the post office sees it,he too laughs like the others but also says that he should do something for Lencho to help him keep his unshakable faith in God!He is surprised that a man can even have such a strong will and faith in him.So, he asks all the employees to gather some money and he also puts some from his own savings. At last, they are able to put 70 pesos together for Lencho. He even signs the post in the end by the sign 'God.'

Th next day,the post master himself goes to put the post in the mailbox. He wants to see Lencho's reaction and is so glad to help such a man.He wants to see the happiness in his eyes after getting God's help. But unfortunately,Lencho's reaction is unexpected.Instead of feeling satisfied, Lencho complains that there are only 70 pesos in the post instead of 100 that he initially asked for.He also is certain that God could not have made such a mistake!

So,he writes another letter to God.This time,he asks for the remaining 30 pesos. He also tells God not to send the amount through mail because he thinks that the post office employees would have taken the previous 30 pesos and he even mentined that they were a 'bunch of crooks.'

THAT'S IT!!

hope it helps,Buddy:)

A Letter to God Summary

The story, "A Letter to God" by G.L. Fuentes depicts unwavering faith of a farmer in God. It begins with a farmer, named Lencho expecting for a rain shower to nourish his field of corn. He is confident that his harvest is going to yield him huge profits just like it does every year. To his utmost excitement, rainfall did happen but sooner, it turned into a hailstorm destroying his entire crop field. The damage posed a threat to the family's survival as their entire livelihood was dependent on the year's produce. Although disheartened, the family had robust belief in the almighty. Lencho, despite having worked day and night at the field, knew how to write and thus, decided to write a letter to God explaining his situation and asking for help. He went to town to post his letter addressed "To God". The letter on being noticed by the postmaster, at first amused him, but then motivated him want to do something for the farmer so as to keep his immense belief intact. He contributes from his salary and collects money from his colleagues and friends who willingly contributed for an act of charity. To his dismay, he could only collect 70 pesos which he wrapped in an envelope to make it seem like a reply from the deity. On having found the letter, the writer (Lencho) is not at all shocked, but instead, he gets angry on finding that the amount is less than what he had expected. He again writes a letter to God conveying his disappointment and distrust in the employees of the post office who he thought had stolen the remaining amount.

Hope it helps you dear.......xd
