STORY
Once upon a time and not very long ago there lived a small girl in a small town. The small girl was called Valli. Though she was only eight she thought she was big and expected to be treated so. Her house was near a bus stop, where a bus with loads of passengers would stop and Valli would wonder where they all went. How was life on the other side to the land where the bus speedily went?
Valli resolved that one day she would ride the big blue bus to make the journey of her dreams. From her piggy bank she stole two coins, shut the door behind just when her mother the afternoon siesta she took. Up in the bus Valli rode at last and enjoyed the sight of the world beyond.
Rambled all the hills, floated all the streams, scurrying came a cow on the road. Into the bus flocked in a crowd-rowdy and stout and Valli loved all this to see. All boarded off the bus as there came the stop that was last but Valli remained seated firmly. She would return by the bus, fulfil her task of exploring the land of her dreams.
The return was not so happy. The cow that was in a hurry was struck down in its scurry, the poor thing was still and dead. Valli’s eyes were filled with tears, she longed to get home to her dears and bring her journey to an end. The adventures of Valli were over, the little Madam was really clever as she rode the bus of her dreams that day.
