Answer:
The 'Legend of the Northland' is a poem written by Phoebe Carry. This poem talks about a selfish woman who got herself cursed with her actions. One day, the Good Saint Peter, who lived underneath the earth, was walking all through day preaching. Finally, by the end of the day, he was very tired. He walked in to a house where he saw a little woman baking cakes on the hearth. He kindly asked her to give a small slice of cake to eat as he was hungry. The woman baked a cake for him, but since she felt it was too big, she kept it away on the shelf. This same thing happened two - three times. She said that the big cakes she makes are for herself to eat. Of Course,This made Good Saint Peter angry. He cursed into a woodpecker as he thought she was too selfish to exist as a human. Today, she is seen sitting on the tree boring and boring for food.
