Once, An English soldier was captured and imprisoned by Napoleon's forces as they mistaken him as a spy. Although he asked them to give him a chance for the explanation, the forces denied giving an ear.

He was tortured for few days, by the forces. He became physically too weak but mentally he was still strong with the aim of protecting his mother. He used to scrutinize his surroundings every day thinking of a way to be out of that hell. Finally, he thought that the day came and tried to cross the English channel in a cask.

Alas! He was captured by the forces again and was taken to Napoleon. Napoleon was surprised on the soldier's act and asked him the reason for escaping and risking his life. The English soldier explained him about the misunderstanding of their forces and they, not giving the chance to explain.

The English soldier added that he entered the land for the treatment of his old and sick mother on the advice of his friend from this land. He said that it's been a week since he saw his old and sick mother and wished that he wants to look after her in her tough times making Napoleon melt on his words. At the same time, his friend, who was working in the same kingdom, recognized him and explained him the whole story.

Napoleon felt sorry for the English soldier and set him free. He even offered a helping hand for the soldier that he will take the responsibility of his mother's health and get her treated as soon as possible. He scolded the forces for their sin and ordered them that this stance should never be repeated in his land. From that day, even foreigners too got the independence in Napoleon's land to enjoy their rights correctly.
