ozone reacts with alkenes to form unstable molozonide which changes or rearrange into ozonide
ozonide are again unstable compound and reduced to produce aldehydes or ketones on the treatment with water and zinc.
●Ozonide+H2o-------》cH3-cH=o + h2o
●and this h2o + zn gives zno + h2o
