  • Ovule is an egg shaped structure which is attached to the inner side of the ovary of the plant.

  • An ovary consists of one, two, several or even hundreds of ovules.

  • Micro embryo sac is present at the center of each ovule which is filled with food and water.

  • Cells called " gametophyte " cells present in the embryo sac.

  • This embryo sac consists of 7 cells and 8 nuclei.

  • 3 upper cells called antipods, And in the below portion there are 2 cells called synergids.

  • A main cell called egg cell which present in the between of those 2 synergids.

  • Cell called polar nuclei present in the middle portion.

  • In this ovule all the cells contains only 1 nuclei. But polar nuclei contains 2 nuclei.

  • Such that embryo sac is consists of 7 cells and 8 nuclei.
