In the poem fire and ice the poet wants other tell people about his imaginary end of world.

He says that the world can either end in fire or in ice.

But he personally favours fire.

He also says that if the world would have to end twice ice is also ok.

Here both fire and ice represents the various emotions of people.

The first symbolises hatred, anger, jealousy ect. whereas ice symbolises coldness, insensitivity ect.

The poet says that these emotions of the people can lead to the end of the world.....
