Summary of poem Flannan Isle:

“Flannan Isle” is a famous poem by Wilfrid Wilson Gibson.

Flannan Isle is a place which has a lighthouse to warn ships of danger from 20 miles away. It has three men to operate it. Once in two weeks, the crew will be exchanged by the other crew. The three men crew didn’t return as planned.

The new crew arrived five days late because of a bad storm and weather. The new men searched for the previous three men. When they opened the door of the lighthouse, it was deserted. They could see an uneaten meal and the chair was upside down. They couldn’t identify where they were and it became mysterious.
