Rain on the Roof is a short poem by Coates Kinney about the lauding and healing powers of rain. The poet describes his experience of a rainy night when all the stars had become invisible because they had been covered by the clouds.The poet wants to curl up his pillow and lie in his bed. The tinckle of the rain transports him into a world of fanciful dreams of his childhood days. He becomes nostalgic about mother whom he loved dearly.
