This poem is more of a mysterious poem and is considered one of the creepiest poems. What the child hears is a mystery and we keep looking for the answers in the poem, sometimes the reader thinks that maybe the child is a psycho because he used to hear voices and his father used to deny the fact that there is any ghost or any supernatural power, and his fears keep on growing big and big and in search of the answers the child almost went half mad.
The moral of the poem is that when the child is in need and wants to know about the answers he should be told the truth, rather than a lie, because there is chance that child might be scared and maybe go to an extreme in search of the answers, parents are the people which children trust the most.
