Been starting over my WoW life in Argent Dawn lately and also trying to switch to the horde because i don't really have any alliance friends left and i like horde more anyway. But anyway to the point.

I have been trying to decide what race/class i wanna be (most likely warlock and my thoughts went to goblins, thought they don't really have warlock lore. However i don't like being unkind to absolutely everybody while roleplaying so my question is: are there any friendly (kind) goblins? or are they always just thinking about theirselves.

Sure it's definitely possible. There are even Forsaken working for the Darkmoon Faire. You can't be evil and depressed if that's your job!

Same for goblins. It would be silly if goblins are all so one-dimensional that there's no more depth to their race than being some zany little imp that does everything to become rich and doesn't have any morals.

In the end it primarily comes down to background. Where you were raised and how you were raised is an important factor as that is what truly shapes a person and his or her personality.

yeah, now that I think of it, you ARE the nice goblin! In the starting zone you save innocent goblins while you don't even have to, in fact rescueing those goblins is not profiting at all since you are on a deserted island and more living goblins means more mouths.

The selfish goblin is an archetype, an archetype that Warcraft really overused. Many people play archetypes, because that's what they have references to, that's the stuff they know. While it's generally a good idea to keep the nature of the race somewhat, many people go overboard.

Sure, there are kind(er) goblins, and you can play one.

Well since some have answered about goblins i shall take the undead part.

This character is actually a happy undead. She is even kind and caring.

There isn't really anything that demands undeads must be depressive/angry sadists that want death to the world.

It's just the most common and often most logical. Many died when the scourge came and lost everything. Then they got risen and controlled by lich king (if they are first generation. The ones after Cata is second).

They got their will and minds back, to what? They are walking corpses many even some of themselfs sees as monsters. Then on it goes!

Not easy stay positive when such things happen. But everyone is different so some may come at terms and accept what they are and struggle on. Not very happy but not "Woe woe im undead and super cranky".

Then who knows you maybe was a real optimist when you were alive so why shall undeath bring you down.

You don't have to be depressed and cranky. You can be neutral. Content. Slightly happy or you can go all in like little Ilaria here who is not called Miss Sunshine for nothing. But she is almost weirdly happy.

One thing that can be good think on if you are going to be a "happy" undead is to have a reason/ or know why they are, becuse of their history. Ilaria is my character with most detailed background since i needed to know how and why she could still be so happy and kind.
