ajayraj89: in conduction..transfer of heat takes place without the motion of molecules of the object
ajayraj89: in convection..movement is there
ajayraj89: radiation..no medium required

The three modes of transfer of heat are:
1. Conduction: The process by which heat is transferred from hotter end to colder end of an object is called as conduction. There are two types of conductor
1. Poor conductor :It doesn't allows heat to pass through it.
2. Good conductor: It allows heat to pass through it.
2. Convection: If we take a container and put some water in it to boil on gas first lower part water boils and then it goes up and the upper water comes down this process is continued till the whole water in container became of same temperature this process is called as convection.
3. Radiation: In process of radiation it does not need any medium. When we sit in front of a heater in a room it takes air in the room inside it and make it hot and levee it this process is continued till the whole room becomes hot this process is called as radiation.
