length is 2400 km the width varies from 150 in Arunachal to400 in Kashmir the Himalayas are divided in to three parallel ranges himacha 6000m height himadri 3700 to 4200 and shiwaliks 900 to 1100

whenever we speak about the Himalayas we mostly speak about its height, as said we have Mt.Everest and many tallest mountains of all time.

btw Himalayas are young fold mountain. The Himalayas are spread from the eastern part of Nepal to the Arunachal in North-East....
