He belived that god is present in the soul of every person . He too did not believe in the caste system . He believed in ahimsa . He believed that every being whether animal or bird had a soul . He asked his disciples to base their lives on the five principles :

Buddhas teachings says that the primary cause of all suffering in ignorance
He believed that a person should neither live in excessive luxury nor give up everything to live a life of deprivation .
He did not approve of rituals or the caste system .
He was also against animal sacrifices
He believed that one should be kind to all life forms
He held discources on the nature and cause of human suffering
