1) Unicellular- It refers to organisms made up of only a single cell. The single cell performs all the necessary life functions like respiration,digestion ,excretion, reproduction etc.
Some examples are : Amoeba, Paramecium , Chlamydomonas , Mycoplasma(PPLO) etc.
2) Multicellular- It refers to organisms made up of many cells. Different cells are specialised to perform various different functions like carrying messages from the brain to other parts of the body and vice-versa ( neuron) ,carrying haemoglobin ( erythrocytes), helping in movement ( muscle cells) etc .
