present continuous- it is used to show that an ongoing action is happening now.

present perfect-it is used to show that the action has taken place once or many time before now.

present perfect continuous- it is used to show that something started in the past and has continued until now.

simple past- it is used principally to describe event in the past.

past continuous- continuing action that was happening at some point in past.

past perfect- action that were completed before some point in the past.

past perfect continuous- action that was started in the past continued up until another time in the past.
