Solution :
Here I am using A instead of theta.
4tan² A - 4/( cos²A )
= 4tan²A - 4sec²A
[ Since , 1/cosA = secA ]
= 4( tan² A- sec² A )
= 4 × ( - 1 )
[ Since , tan²A - sec²A = -1 ]
= -4

4 tan^2@ - 4/cos^2@ (where @ = theta)
4×sin^2@/cos^2@ -4/cos^2@
(4sin^2@ - 4)/ cos^2@
4( sin^2@-1)/cos^2@
4× -cos^2@/cos^2@ (where sin^2@-1= -cos^2@)
= -4
4×sin^2@/cos^2@ -4/cos^2@
(4sin^2@ - 4)/ cos^2@
4( sin^2@-1)/cos^2@
4× -cos^2@/cos^2@ (where sin^2@-1= -cos^2@)
= -4
