✴Working of Electric Motor✴
---------------------------------------------------

Electric motor works on the principle of force on a conductor carrying current moving in a magnetic field. When an electric current is passed through through a conductor placed normally in a magnetic field, a force acts on the conductor as a result of which the conductor begins to move and work is obtained. The direction of force acted can be found by using Fleming's left hand rule.

When electric current is passed from battery to the coil then by Fleming left hand rule two equal magnetic force acting on the arms of coil. These two force form a force couple due to which coil starts rotating in anticlockwise direction but split ring attached with edges also starts rotating with the coil. The split ring come in contact from one brush to other nd direction of current keep in such a way. The coil rotate in one direction only. Due to rotation of coil its base rod gets the kinetic energy.
It is used in water pump, electric fan etc.
