Hay!!
dear user -

=> x² - x - 6

= > x² - 3x +2x - 6

=> x(x -3) +2(x -3)

=> (x -3)(x +2)

So,

(x -3) and (x +2) are the factors of x² -x - 6

(x-3)=> x=3. (x+2)=> x=-2.

I hope it's help you
