A direct speech is always enclosed with brackets. Whereas indirect speech doesn't.
A direct speech has comma to separate speech and reporting verb whereas indirect speech doesn't
~ How to change direct and indirect speech
- If the reporting verb in direct speech is in present tense then it remains present in indirect speech.
Example :- My friend say, "Ram is good boy."
My friend say that Ram is good boy
- If the reporting verb in direct speech is in Future tense then it remains future tense in indirect speech.
Example :- My grandmother will say, "Josh needs food."
My grandmother will say that Josh needs food.
