Anomalies of Mendeleev periodic table :
1.The position of isotopes could not be explained
2.Wrong order of atomic masses of some elements could not be explained
3.A correct position could not be assigned to hydrogen in the periodic table

Limitations of the Mendeleev periodic table:
@ The position of hydrogen was not fixed but was kept with alakali metals.but hydrogen resembles both alakali metals and also exists in diatomic form.
@ In medenleev table no place was given for istopes of elements. The placing of the two isotopes of chlorine in the same group of periodic table could not be explained by Mendeleev table.
@The atomic masses donot increase in a regular manner from one element to the next.
@Few elements those posses higher atomic mass were placed before elements having a lower atomic mass.eg nickel and cobalt in Mendeleev table.
