Animal tissue:

1)Cells of animal tissue do not have cell wall.

2)All tissue are living.

PLANT TISSUE

  1. There are many dead and supportive tissues in plant cells as compared to the living tissues
  2. Plant tissues require very little energy for their maintenance.
  3. There are two kinds of tissues in plants, i.e., permanent tissues and meristematic tissues.

ANIMAL TISSUE

  1. In animals, there are more living tissues as compared to dead tissues.
  2. Animal tissues require more energy as compared to plant tissues.
  3. On the other hand, there are four kinds of animal tissues, i.e., muscle tissue, epithelial tissue, connective tissue, and nervous tissue.

Xylem

  1. Xylem is the complex tissue of plants, responsible for transporting water and other nutrients to the plants.
  2. Comprises of Xylem vessels, fibre and tracheids.
  3. Dead cells (parenchyma is the only living cells present in the xylem).

Phloem

  1. Phloem is living tissue, responsible for transporting food and other organic materials.
  2. Phloem fibers, sieve tubes, sieve cells
  3. phloem parenchyma and companion cells.
