Three differences are -

Prairies are areas having mostly grasses, but also flowering plants and occasional shrubs or isolated trees.

A desert is a barren area of landscape having sandy land and where little precipitation occurs.

Thus, person living at prairie will see beautiful flowers while person living at desert will experience view of sand.

Person living at desert area is well adapted to high temperatures and colder nights.

Person living at prairie region can't tolerate very high and low temperatures.

Desert areas are famous for camels and kangaroo rats, thus people will watch such wildlife. Deserts are not well habitable for plants and animals.

Prairie areas have animal habitat of variety of wildlife and these areas are more suitable for flora and fauna.

Differences between a person living in a desert region and a praire region are many and they are discussed down as follows.

Desert regions:

  • Desert regions are areas that are barren land.
  • They have little to no plantation and flowering. Example of desert regions are the Thar desert.
  • Secondly, people living in the desert regions can tolerate extreme heat and extreme cold.
  • Thirdly, only certain wildlife can survive in the desert regions.

prairies regions:

  • This land has an ample amount of plantation available and thus the people living in such areas can observe flowers and trees.
  • The people living in the prairie region need an ambient temperature to survive.
  • On the other hand, Praire regions stretch over Canada and parts of the USA.
  • There is no such limitation when it comes to the prairie region.
