ethanol..... it don't have any effect on limus paper
.......it don't react with NaHCO³
........ it changes pink colour of KMNO⁴ to colourless
etanoic acid.......it changes blue limus paper to red
......it reacts with NaHCO³ to give brisk effervescence as CO² is formed

first of all we in bromine water test ethene racts with bromine ad undergoes reaction to form a saturated compound called ethane. Thus ; it changes bromine water to colourless while ethane dont reacts with bromine
