2. These are caused by the attack of microorganisms/infectious agents. Such agents are called pathogens.

3. Examples :- tuberculosis (t.b.) , cholera , malaria, rabies , AIDS and etc.

  • Non-infectious disease:-

1. This type of disease are non-infectious, i.e., these are not transmitted from one person to another person.

2. These disease are not caused by an infectious agent. Instead, these occur due to malfunctioning of body organs or due to their weakness. These diseases are individual specific.

3. Examples:- diabetes,heart disease,cancer and etc.
