Given :  Roman number M.​

To Find :  three numbers succeeding the Roman number M.​

Solution:

I  - 1

V - 5

X - 10

L - 50

C - 100

D - 500

M - 1000

Any  letter in value lesser than other letter if placed before that letter is supposed to be subtracted,

All other letters values to be added

VI   V = 5 , I  = 1  => 5 + 1 = 6

IV    V = 5 , I  = 1 , I with lesser value before V hence to be subtracted

5 - 1 = 4

1001 , 1002 , 1003
