Answer:

please mark brainlist as answer

Explanation:

·Rutherford's atomic model could not explain how the moving electrons could remain in its orbit.

·Any charged particle during acceleration would give out energy; and while revolving it would lose energy and eventually fall into the nucleus.

·This means that the atom would be highly unstable.

Drawbacks of Rutherford model are:-

1)The major drawback of the Rutherford atomic model was that it could not explain the *stability* of atoms.

2)Rutherford atomic model says nothing about the *distribution of electrons* around the nucleus.

3)He could not able to explain the origin of the *line spectrum.*

•According to Rutherford atomic model, the electrons moving around the nucleus in circular orbit has acceleration towards the centre.

•Once they radiate energy, the total energy of the system decreases.

• Then electron will ultimately fall in the nucleus.

• Since energy is radiated continuous, the spectrum of atoms must be continuous but there's only a line spectrum.
