Rabindranath Tagore -
Rabindranath Tagore born on May 7th 1861 in Calcutta (Present Kolkata) in India. He was a Bengali poet, story writer, song composer and painter.
In 1913, he was the first non European to receive the Noble Prize for Literature. He wrote national anthems for three different countries. He wrote "Jana Gana Mana" the national anthem for India, "Amar Sonar Bangla" the national anthem for Bangladesh and "Nama Nama Sri Lanka Mata" the national anthem for Sri Lanka in Bengali. He died on August 7th 1941 in Calcutta.
