a = 1, r = 1/4

a2 = ar^( n- 1 )

a2 = 1 ( 1/4 ) ^( 2 - 1 ) = 1/4

a3 = 1 ( 1 / 4 ) ^( 3 - 1 ) = 1 / 4^2 = 1 / 16

$<h4>2nd Method : ( By using G. P. Series Notation )</h4>$

a, ar, ar^2, ar^3......., ar^( n - 1 )

a = 1,

2nd term, ar = 1 × 1 / 4 = 1/4

3rd term, ar^2 = 1× 1 /4 ^2 = 1/16
