Answer:

Artery: It carries oxygenated blood from heart to body tissues. Each artery is a muscular tube lined by smooth tissue

capillaries: these are the finest and thinnest vessels , arteries break into capillaries and these capillaries load or unload oxygen, carbon dioxide, wastes etc from/to tissues.Capillaries join to form venules and venules join to form veins.

veins: these carry deoxygenated blood from tissues to heart for oxygenation, these have valves to prevent backflow of blood.

Answer:

The three types of blood vessels are -

  • Arteries – They carry oxygenated blood from the heart and carry it to the organs. They branch several times, becoming smaller and smaller as they carry blood farther from the heart and into organs.
  • Veins – They carry deoxygenated blood from organs and take it to the heart. The blood is rich in waste products that are to be excreted or removed from the body. Veins become larger as they get closer to the heart.
  • Capillaries – These are small, thin blood vessels that connect the arteries and the veins. The exchange of various materials like oxygen, food, carbon dioxide, etc., between the blood and the body cells, takes place through it.
