In my opinion, No it isn't, but Self-Discipline to an extent where you forget spontaneity does kill one's freedom. I personally believe you can be whatever you want. You can be disciplined and you can have all the freedom you want. Remember Discipline is a set of values and morals that you need in order to become an ethical and righteous human being. Everyone should have the same amount of freedom and everyone DOES have the same amount of freedom, what differs from it is, some people follow discipline in order to become a good person whereas some people don't. Personally, I believe self discipline isnt deprecating at all. All you have to do is to have a bit of self control and that's about it.
